Healthy Eating

There are so many easy ways to eat healthy that don't involve only eating vegetables and salads.  Fruits are a good source of energy and are healthy to eat.

Some easy healthy snacks you can make or get.

  • smoothies
  • smoothie bowls
  • granola bars
  • yogurt
  • apple slices with peanut butter 
  • celery sticks with cream cheese. 
  • cheese with crackers or fruit
  • beef jerky
  • baby carrots 
  • oatmeal 
  • overnight oats
  • trail mix
  • popcorn

These are just some simple examples but there are so many possibilities. 

 

Here is one of my favorite recipes that I made to get you started. It is for a Strawberry smoothie or smoothie bowl.  

You will need: 1 cup of strawberries, 1/2 cup of milk or apple juice, and a teaspoon of honey.

Blend those altogether and enjoy!

If you want to make it thicker to be a smoothie bowl, then only add 1/4 cup of milk or juice and make sure your fruit is frozen. It will turn out thicker and have an ice cream consistency.
