Hiking Trails

Eaton Canyon

Eaton Canyon, located in Pasadena, California is one of my favorite hiking trails. There are a few different paths to take when you arrive. At the end of one of the trails is a waterfall.  The best time to hike this trail is during the morning or early evening due to the heat. There is shade along the way and picnic tables at the beginning. The nature center is also a fun place to visit. You can learn about the animals that live in the nearby areas and learn about hiking safety. You can learn more about Eaton Canyon on their website: ECNCA - Eaton Canyon Nature Center Associates | A Zoological, botanical, and geological nature preserve

Chino Hills State Park

Chino Hills State Park has multiple hiking routes to take. Some are suitable for families and others for more experienced hikers. There is wildlife there including rattlesnakes, so in the summer keep your eyes out for them. To learn more about Chino Hills State Park go to their website: Chino Hills SP (ca.gov)

Mount Wilson Trail

Griffith Park

Griffith Park located in Los Angeles, is a fun place to go.  There is a hiking trail as well as many activities for the family to do.  At the top of the hill is the Griffith Park Observatory, and at the bottom of the hill there is a playground, pony rides, train rides, and many more family activities.
